Why do the wealthy think that government should serve them only?

I mean isn't this what the Republicans have asked us to accept? Think about it for a moment. Who protects their patents, industries, financial ets and their oil interests and then asks us to demand nothing from our government while the rest of us pay for Social Security, etc? Without us where would the wealthy be? While they may not "owe" us anything, what right do they have to demand that the services that we pay our government for should not be asked for? Is it their government or ours? Why should and do they pay far fewer taxes than we do? Warren Buffet's own secretary is in a higher tax bracket, percentage of income, than he is. Why should the rest of us accept this blatant outrage? Beyond that I ask for nothing but the solvency of the currency that I have worked hard to earn and save.
